Drone issue creating unusual bipartisan alliances
Wed Apr 24, 2013
The problem with the use of drones is less the weapon itself than the legality and morality of the policy. This is all done in secret, with no charges, no trial, no evidence, certainly no defense, and in a lot of cases probably no actual crime committed. Our country is going around the world killing …
Boehner accuses Obama of not having 'the guts' to cut spending
Tue Feb 12, 2013
What a paragon of courage and guts Boehner is. It takes a brave and courageous man to cut spending for those who need it most but are least able to defend themselves, while simultaneously coddling those who have everything. We can do with a little less of that kind of "courage."
Gazing into 'dark pools,' the tool that enables anonymous insider trading
Wed Jan 23, 2013
Dark pool trading should be banned - make these scumbags do their business out in the open, like all the little people have to do. Oh, but that would require congress to actually do something, and they'd have to get their lips unfastened from wall street's ass first.
Yes, we can fix Social Security (but it won't be pretty)
Mon Dec 24, 2012
Lift the cap! There's no reason the wealthy shouldn't pay the same percentage as all us little people.
GOP offers own proposal to avert 'fiscal cliff'
Mon Dec 3, 2012
The same as the Ryan budget plan: all talk and no substance, no details and spare the wealthy at any cost.
Alleging Republican 'blind eye' on defense spending, GOP senator proposes cuts
Thu Nov 15, 2012
This is only a start - the Defense Department is the most wasteful, fraud-ridden in the federal government. It's ludicrous that we should be spending more than the rest of the world combined on defense, and a disgrace that a good deal of it is completely unnecessary pork protected by members of cong …
Poll: If government careens off fiscal cliff, GOP to shoulder blame
Tue Nov 13, 2012
In their haste to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff, both parties are looking to prevent cuts to the most bloated and wasteful of all departments (defense), and shift the cost to the people by cutting social security, medicare and medicaid. Protect defense contractors and screw the rest of us. It's s …
Ryan lambastes jobs report: 'We are 9 million jobs short'
Fri Nov 2, 2012
Yeah, 9 million jobs killed by the same old failed right-wing voodoo economics that mittens is continuing to push. It's like the republican let-the-markets-regulate-themselves crash of 2008 never happened with these idiots.
Ad spending closes in on $1 billion
Thu Nov 1, 2012
A billion dollars on BS ads to make you hate the other guy. I can't think of a more colossal waste of money that could be better spent elsewhere. This is a national disgrace.
Romney paid 14.1 percent effective tax rate in 2011
Fri Sep 21, 2012
So Mittens made almost a thousand times more than I did, but he only paid 14% while I paid 25%. Welcome to the right wing opportunity economy, dominated by rich a-holes who write tax laws to benefit themselves and then complain that poor people don't have any "skin in the game."
